Rhetorical Factory is a recycled clothing company on a mission to
inspire questioning and be 100% good. It is also the dream of artist Bethany
Adams, which has turned into reality. On April 29th of this year they celebrate
the completion of their first year open at their flagship store in West Asheville.
The response from the community has been enthusiastic over these
last twelve months. Every day someone walks in who has never wondered about
where their clothing came from, and they walk out different people. They are
proud to offer an ethical and affordable alternative to Made In China,
repetitive clothing that exploits the environments and communities it comes
from. In addition to their own brand of “recycled art clothes” they offer ethically made jewelry, underwear and art from our own
community and around the world.
Rhetorical Factory's grand opening was a huge success last year and they hope to
bring people together again to celebrate their mission for conscious fashion.
While the rest of the world looks to places like Asheville to set a sustainable
example, it’s the perfect home for encouraging the
type of conversations that need to happen if exploitation in the clothing
industry is going to change.
