AAF Asheville kicks off another banner year

The American Advertising Federation Asheville (AAFA) welcomes everyone in the marketing industry of Western North Carolina to help the club kick-off its 2015-2016 season with free food and a chance to mingle with industry professionals. Beverages will be available for purchase at the event, to be held at one of Asheville’s newest brewing locations, Hi-Wire Brewery’s Big Top in Biltmore Village.

It’s an exciting time for the club, which will announce its new board and a slate of dynamic speakers. The annual event will be part party and part chapter business, giving members and prospects the perfect opportunity to meet the new board, mingle and network with peers, sign up for committees and grab a few brews.

“I’m really excited about our new board and the vision they bring to AAFA,” says new club president Marty Steinberg. “I feel confident we’re ready to take this club to the next level.”

As Asheville continues to reign as one of the premier destinations for small and mediumsized businesses across the country, the face of the AAFA needs to play a vital role in that growth. The American Advertising Federation is the voice for the advertising industry, comprising more than 210 affiliates nationwide. Participation locally gives Asheville marketers the chance to compete with the big dogs in the national American Advertising Awards competition, formerly known as the ADDYs. Members also get a chance to participate in national conferences and tap into a huge network of advertising professionals.
