Mission Health breaks ground for new patient tower

Given the needs of western North Carolina’s increasingly complex patient population, a new facility on Mission Hospital’s Memorial Campus in Asheville is critical in assuring that Mission Health can continue to deliver the highest quality services in a way that makes the most sense economically, while providing an exceptional patient experience.

A groundbreaking was held Thursday on the 635,000 square-foot facility that will include 220 patient rooms, an expanded and new Emergency Department and parking, consolidated Operating Rooms with support space, Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology and a helipad. Construction is expected to be complete in Fall 2018.
