Smoky Mountain Adventure Center to open for summer season

The Smoky Mountain Adventure Center construction is well underway in the heart of the River Arts District, Asheville.  This will be the region’s premier “one-stop” destination for outdoor adventure activities.  Canoeing trips, Stand up Board (SUP) rentals, and tube rentals will be offered in conjunction to a fine fleet of bike rentals to use on the nearby Wilma Dykeman Greenway or to be taken to off-road destinations in the Pisgah National Forest.  There will also be a fishing service at this location along with the region’s largest and tallest climbing facilities.   The SMAC will be the new home to Climbmax Climbing Center, for over 21 years the leader in adventure travel and rock climbing experiences.

The Smoky Mountain Adventure Center will offer river-view seating on our elevated deck where one could enjoy a fresh smoothie or an adult beverage offered by The Hand Out coffee bar.

This will be one of the River Arts District’s “must-see” destinations.  Plan on allowing a little extra time because of all that is offered at the SMAC .. one will want to stay !
