Asheville Aerial Arts excites and inspires audiences of all ages with their creative and breathtaking presentation of the changes that occur in everyday life, as well as in your fantasies.

"This show was inspired by the topics facing our society, and our way of perceiving these issues. We have to adapt to survive, as do all living creatures. We wanted to celebrate change, applaud acceptance and pay homage to those around us that have the courage to embrace the need for change. Becoming is a beautiful show in not just the artistic and mesmerizing optics, but also in the message it conveys." stated Christine Aiken, Artistic Director.

Audiences will be captivated by these expert athletes and artists defying gravity. While risking life and limb, this accomplished troupe brings delight to the young and young at heart alike with classic circus arts and brilliant, innovative new acts.

"It is a show that speaks to the very nature of all of our lives, and the creatures that inhabit Mother Earth. Watching the baby birds nest on my porch this spring, then change and become airborne, inspired me to welcome the challenges and changes I was experiencing. I work with an aerialist that is currently in transition and she inspired me to learn more about not only the physical and emotional aspects of her change, but how as a director I am able to best support her,” said Aiken. “2016 has been a year of transformation and rebirth for so many of us, and I want our audience to feel inspired and uplifted by these spellbinding artists and their enthralling portrayal of the changes we all must face."

Asheville Aerial Arts was founded in 2007, and is Asheville's premier entertainment company, specializing in aerial arts.
