8 - Carolina Cud Chewers in Concert
The Carolina Cud Chewers are a Carolina
string band devoted to preserving the force and beauty of classic performances
of the 1920's & 30's. Led by core members Brody Hunt and Antone
Costa, the instrumentation variously includes finger-style banjo, bowed cello,
Hawaiian guitar, Spanish guitar, blue yodeling, mandolin, musical saw, bones,
and fiddle. UNC Asheville’s Bluegrass Ensemble will open the concert, with
tickets at the door, $15 for the public and $5 for students, at 7 p.m. in
